A vintage Georgian style extending dining or boardroom table with a matching set of 10 solid mahogany chairs, comprising eight side chairs and two carvers. The table is mahogany veneered, standing on three turned pillar columns, each supported by brass paw feet with castors.
The table features two removable leaves which slot neatly into place, allowing the length to be extended or reduced as required. The sections connect with brass fittings and a locking mechanism beneath for added strength, while screws secure the top to the pillar bases. The edge is finished with a triple-line moulded border, a classic Georgian decorative detail.
The chairs display carved detailing and reeded lines, upholstered in blue fabric seats. Overall condition is good, with light use-related marks to the top and minor wear to a couple of chairs, all shown clearly in the photographs.
A versatile and well-crafted suite, ideal for use as a large dining or boardroom table, offering timeless style and practical functionality.
