An antique Edwardian walnut drop-leaf occasional table, circa 1901–1910. The square top opens with four hinged leaves to form a quatrefoil or ‘four-leaf clover’ shape. Raised on slim scrolled legs, united by a square under-tier with turned finials to each corner.
Ingenious in design, the table may be used closed as a compact occasional or lamp table, or opened to provide a larger surface. Its clover-shaped top lends both decorative charm and practical versatility, making it a useful and engaging piece for any room.
