Here we have a large antique 19th century oil painting of young girl in a black dress with buttons holding a horse crop sitting on a red cabriole leg chair in carved gilt wood frame . Details such as life like blue eyes, red cheeks and the tie up boots have all been carefully painted by the painter. There is no sign or signature on the picture, but stamped on the back was ‘Prepared by Windsor & Newton’ from 38 Rathbone Place London.
