A fine antique Georgian bowfront chest of drawers, circa 1820, veneered in richly figured mahogany and inlaid with delicate lines of ebony. The arrangement comprises two short drawers above two long drawers, each with cockbeaded edges, brass handles, and oak and pine linings.
The top is outlined with an ebony border and projects slightly at the rear, a thoughtful design feature allowing the chest to stand flush against a wall above skirting boards. Raised on splayed bracket feet, the piece combines elegant proportion with practical early 19th-century craftsmanship.
A versatile and functional chest, offering both refined Georgian design and ample storage, suited to a range of interior settings.
