A 20th century oak double gateleg dining table, made in the 18th century style using predominantly 18th century timber with some later wood. The table is of oval form and stands on barley twist legs and supports, giving it a strong country house and farmhouse character.
Double gateleg tables are highly practical, with hinged leaves that can be raised or lowered depending on use. This allows the table to function as a large dining table when fully extended, or as a more compact side or occasional table when the leaves are down.
A useful and decorative piece, offering traditional styling with the practicality needed for everyday use.
